What We Do
Young Poet Laureate
The Story Works has created the new position of Young Poet Laureate for Bournemouth for the academic year 2025-26. The inaugural Young Poet Laureate will work with secondary schools in the local area to help young people find their voices through words, writing, and performance. The Young Poet Laureate seeks to serve the Dorset community through FREE workshops in schools and public spaces, and we are keen to see how we can develop this position in the years to come.
Sebastian “Baz” Lewis is a writer from Dorset. His work has been published in Eche, Full House, Spellbinder, and elsewhere. He has also worked in collaboration with Lyra Poetry Festival, The Poetry Society, and the Oxford Poetry Library to help make words happen across the country.
